The Jog Derbyshire Project is currently led by Derbyshire Sport to encourage adults to be more active by jogging with people of similar fitness levels. The project has set up a network of community based jogging groups, each led by a qualified Jog Derbyshire leader. The aims of the project are to increase the following factors:

• The levels of physical activity among adults to benefit their health
• The number of volunteers working in a local community
• The degree of social interaction within a community.

The project requires an organisation to deliver and grow the Jog Derbyshire project across the country and in Derby City. This will entail:

• Recruiting new leaders (a minimum of 110), setting up new groups (a minum of 35) and recruiting new participants (a minimum of 1000)
• Supporting existing leaders, groups and participants to ensure they continue to run
• Regular contact with key local authority, health and community partners, such as England Athletics
• Monitoring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Supporting Jog Derbyshire Dynamos.

The contract will run from 1 February 2012 until 31 March 2012, and may be extended beyond this period subject to the agreement of all parties. The successful contractor will need to demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas:

• Relevant demonstrable experience of managing and delivering successful sport/active recreation projects including project management and reporting
• Experience of engaging and working with a diverse range of partners.
