Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales has launched a new funding programme to support work with people with mental health problems and learning disabilities who have been in the criminal justice system.
To be eligible you will need to be a registered charity and be working with people with mental illness in one of the following areas:
  •  Preventative work with those at risk of offending
  •  Early intervention and diversion from the criminal justice system
  •  Support through the court process
  •  Support in prison, or serving community sentences
  •  Resettlement support.
Grants can be for up to three years and the Foundation is looking for projects which are new or innovative; that will extend or replicate an existing service; or that will improve joined-up working with statutory agencies.
The deadline for expressions of interest is 3 November 2010.
