The Proceeds of Crime Fund has been set up by South Yorkshire Police and the South Yorkshire Community Foundation to support local community groups and projects that are tackling important local issues. The fund uses the money and assets that the South Yorkshire Police confiscate from people involved in crime to benefit the community.

The priorities of the fund are as follows:

  •  To provide diversionary activities for children and young people in areas with higher crime or deprivation
  •  To support projects that reduce anti social behaviour and promote confidence in the Police
  •  To support community organisations in areas of higher crime or deprivation.
The majority of grants are likely to be under £1,500. Groups must be based in South Yorkshire and in very exceptional circumstances applications may be considered from individuals.
