SYFAB:South Community Assembly - “You Choose’” Fund

The South Community Assembly has allocated £40,000 to a "You Choose" Community Chest. This is open to all groups operating within the South Community Assembly area.
£10,000 is available for each ward (Gleadless Valley, Nether Edge, Graves Park, Beauchief & Greenhill). Community groups can apply for grants of between £250 and £2000, which must then be spent by 31 March 2011. One application is allowed per group, but groups can make separate applications if there are subsidiary arms.
Eligible groups must:
- Be operating within the South Community Assembly
- Have an acknowledged constitution and bank account, or apply via sponsorship from a constituted group
- Undertake activity for the benefit of the wider community
- Have a child protection policy if you work with children or young people. This must be sent along with your application
- Attend an event in the relevant Ward:
Graves Park: Woodseats Methodist Church - 15 September at 5pm
Nether Edge: Common Ground - 21 September at 6pm
Beauchief & Greenhill: Batemoor & Jordanthorpe Community Centre - 25 September at 11am
Gleadless Valley: Newfield Green Tenants Hall - 9 October at 11am
