The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Yorkshire are running a competition to rediscover and suggest ideas to improve forgotten spaces in Sheffield.


Each of the seven Community Assembly areas in Sheffield have nominated a space - you can use one of these spaces for your idea or you can nominate your own space and your idea for it.


The competition is open to all university students and professionals within the arts, design and built environment vocations located in the UK. Voluntary and community organisations, schools etc wishing to enter are advised to work with a registered design professional.


There are three cash prizes of £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000. There is a £15 entry fee to enter the competition.


Deadline: 30 March 2011 for registration; 12 May 2011 for submission of entries.
