Primary and special schools can register with the Kids First Trust for the Playgrounds Partnerships programme. The programme is cross curricular and helps develop communication and technology skills and environmental and healthy living awareness amongst children. There are cash awards available for school playgrounds. In 2010 there was a main prize of £8,000 and 10 runner up prizes of £1,000.
