Nominations are open for the Natwest Community Fund, which aims to support local charities across Britain. Both customers and non-customers of Natwest are allowed to nominate a local charity, and can do this by submitting their nomination either online or through a local branch.

The money awarded from the Community Fund must be used to benefit the local community. The money cannot be used to pay the bills of a charity or project. The charity/project will have to provide details of how the money will be used if they are shortlisted. Additionally evidence of how the money has been spent will need to be provided after the awards have been made.

The deadline for nominations is 20 August 2010, and the voting period will open in October. For more information visit the Community Fund website here.
