The Health and Social Care Volunteering Fund National Grant Scheme has launched. Grants from £50,000 - £200,000 per year over up to three years are available for projects with a national reach (operating across at least 4 localities in different regions or counties) that are tied into the strategic priorities for the Department of Health.
Projects must tie in to one of the following four themes:
  •  Patient-led NHS
  •  Delivering better health outcomes
  •  Improving public health
  •  Improving health and social care.
Organisations must have an established volunteer base in the health and/or social care sector and have health and social volunteering at the heart of their organisational objectives.
The grants can be used for all eligible project revenue costs and up to £5,000 capital costs.
You must register your interest in applying by 13 December 2010 to be able to make an application. The deadline for first stage applications is 12 January 2011.
