First Light offers grants through its Young Film Fund to enable young people to participate in all aspects of film production. The funding is available to organisations that work with young people aged between 5 and 19. Grants are available through three programmes:

•  Studio Grant - up to £30,000 for between two and four films of up to 10 minutes

•  Script Grant - up to £3,000 for script writing projects that team young people with script professionals

•  Pilot Grant - up to £5,000 for one short film of up to five minutes in duration.

The next deadline for all three grants is 5 October 2010, with decisions announced on 15 November 2010. For more information about the grants, visit the First Light website here.
