The East Community Assembly currently has a Kids Can Do small grants scheme running for activities for 8 to 13 year olds. Grants of up to £750 are available to small voluntary, community and self-help groups that want to make a difference in their local community by providing positive activities for young people. The activities do not have to be targeted exclusively at this age range but at least 75% of the young people taking part should be aged between 8 and 13 years.
This fund is not aimed at large organisations.
The deadline for the Kids Can Do fund is 1 December 2010.
