Arts organisations can apply to be part of The Prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts Start Programme for the 2011-2012 academic year.
Start funds organisations to work with primary and secondary school pupils to encourage and introduce them to their local cultural venue. There are four key themes:

•  Introducing young people to the arts and a venue;

•  Inspiring them to learn more;

•  Enhancing their experience through critical analysis and participation; and

•  Encouraging them to begin creating their own art.

The Foundation can provide grants of up to £15,000 in the first year and it is expected that projects will work with between 300 and 700 young people per year.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 2 February 2011.
