The Department of Health Carers Innovation Fund is making grants of up to £25,000 available for work to support carers. The fund is open to groups that work with people with particular conditions, illnesses or with particular age groups.

The grant should help carers to maintain a life of their own alongside their caring responsibilities; assist with the early identification of carers; and support and help them make informed choices about their lives.

The deadline for applications is 17 November 2010.
