The BBC Performing Arts Fund is now accepting applications for community dance projects. The scheme has up to £200,000 to award, with grants of £500 - £5,000 available. Applications are welcomed from groups working across the UK with all age groups and dance styles. The fund aims to encourage participation and audience development. It also aims to enable groups to undertake more challenging projects through commissions and collaborations with professional artists and other local organisations. Applications can be made online or by post.

The focus of the fund will change each year in an on-going cycle so groups know when grants for particular art forms are available. The focus for 2011 is dance; in 2012 it will be music and 2013 theatre.
