The deadline for applications to the Woodward Charitable Trust summer playscheme programme is 1 April 2011.

The scheme is open to organisations whose income is £100,000 or less per annum and who are planning summer playschemes for young people aged 5 - 16, who are from disadvantaged backgrounds. Grants of £500 - £1,000 are available with around 30 - 40 grants being made each year. The Trust's website states that "The playschemes funded are inclusive and encourage integration both by accepting those of differing abilities as well as different social and racial backgrounds. Among some of the successful applicants are those who encourage past users to come back as volunteers."
