The St Andrews Prize for the Environment is currently open for entries. The prize recognises significant contributions to environmental conservation. Entries in previous years have include projects around:

• Sustainable development in the Amazon rainforest
• Urban regeneration
• Recycling
• Health and water issues
• Renewable energy.

Applications are welcomed from individuals, multi-disciplinary teams or community groups. The 2012 prize has been been increased to $100,000 USD for the winner with two runner up prizes of $25,000 USD.

If you want to apply you need to write a single page project summary of no more than 500 words.
