The Community Film Unit has opened applications to the Speak Up Fund to support voluntary organisations across England who have a film-based project that shows dedication towards their local communities. It will support between 20-50% of the costs.

To be eligible, applicants must:

Be a voluntary organisation (including registered charities, social enterprises, Community Interest Companies).

Work extensively with their local communities.

Be based and working in England.

Be able to spend the grant and complete the project by 31 March 2013.

Organisations should be working in one of the following areas:

Support young people and/or vulnerable people in the local community.
Preserve local history, and educates residents about their local area.
Provide and document opportunities for the disabled.
Develop the local community and integrate different groups.
Provide information which improves the quality of life for residents in their local community.
