Applications to round two of the Department for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs' (Defra) Local Nature Partnerships Fund can be made until 31 October 2011.

Grants in the region of £20,000 (or in some cases up to £50,000) are available to support the formation of Local Nature Partnerships within England. Local Nature Partnerships bring a range of individuals, organisations and businesses together to formulate a plan of how the natural environment can be considered in local decision making. New partnerships and existing partnerships in a transition phase can apply.
