The Department of Health's Health and Social Care Volunteering Fund aims to increase and improve capacity in the health, public health and social care volunteering field. Its local grants scheme will be opening in early April and will be open for five weeks only. There is now information on the grants on the website.

There will be a briefing session on the Volunteering Fund local grants scheme in Leeds on 1 April 2011. There is also a briefing session in Birmingham on 6 April.
