The European Social Fund (ESF) in England has published reports and case studies that may be of interest:

• ESF Improving People's Lives booklet 2011 - summarises progress and achievements in the delivery of the 2007-2013 ESF programme in England. It includes details of ESF priorities for the second phase of the programme plus participant case studies from across the country. You can read the document here

• ESF Cohort Study Wave - this report includes the findings of three waves of interviews with ESF participants, looking at the impact of the training and advice provided through ESF. The reports of the first and second waves of the Cohort Study were published in 2010. You can read the report here

• Case Studies - there are 20 new case studies on the ESF-Works website. The case studies look at ESF projects in England from the point of view of both the providers and participants. There is a filter option to read case studies in your region. You can read the case studies here.
