The UK Border Agency is inviting charities to bid for the European Refugee Fund 2011 worth £4.5m to set up projects that assist in the resettlement of refugees through the Gateway Protection Programme.

Proposed projects, should last three years, and be involved in medical health assessments and travel arrangements for selected refugees to the UK, and sourcing and provision of accommodation and up to twelve months casework support to a minimum of 100 refugees per year.

The closing date to apply for funding is 21 April 2011.

NB. this replaces the information about the Fund we put out in February which was confusing as it seemed to refer to 2011 funding, but had 2010 dates on it. (It would now seem that it was the 2010 funding round!)
