SYFAB: Dunhill Medical Trust General Grants
30 March 2011
The Dunhill Medical Trust funds the care of older people, including rehabilitation and palliative care; and research into the causes and treatments of disease, disability and frailty related to ageing. Its General Grants programme is divided into four areas:
- building grants
- equipment grants
- core costs/staffing grants
- small grants for less than £10k.
A key aim is that the Trust's funding should encourage and support innovative applications. As a rule to qualify for consideration, grant applications MUST be for an activity with a focus on older people. Although there is no lower limit for a grant, in practice no awards are for less than £1,000.
Grants are normally awarded for a maximum of three years, but special rules apply to small grants under £10k .
