The Cutlers Company Grassroots Fund is one of the small grants pots run by South Yorkshire Community Foundation (SYCF). Community and voluntary groups involved with strengthening the traditional manufacturing and industrial traditions of South Yorkshire can apply to the fund. This could include projects that encourage people and help equip them with skills and knowledge.

Examples of projects include:

• Projects supporting and encouraging innovation in manufacturing, design and research
• Projects that help disadvantaged people or those with difficult challenges to achieve
• Projects that promote involvement in further education or training
• Projects that raise aspirations and promote the benefit of further and higher education, research and enterprise.

Only projects directly involved in strengthening access to manufacturing and industry are likely to be successful.
