The Commonwealth Foundation is reviewing its grants programme and will launch a new grants programme in July 2012. As a result of this, they have extended the deadline for their Responsive Grants programme to 31 January 2012. Responsive grants are for civil society and cultural organisations, and are mainly aimed at supporting the participation of people from more than one developing Commonwealth country at an event. The grants can be used towards airfares, accommodation and subsistence, and monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

Applicants to the Commonwealth Association grants fund (this fund is only for associations accredited to the Commonwealth) can apply until 31 December 2011.

Special Grants Initiative - the Foundation runs a themed special grant on a regular basis, and will be announcing the 2012 theme shortly. Keep an eye on their website for further information. This year's theme was "Women as Agents of Change."
