The Social Enterprise Investment Fund (SEIF) is accepting applications for the Capital Growth Fund. The fund provides capital grants of £50,000 - £150,000 for established social enterprises working in health or social care. The fund also has loans available. Investments of over £150,000 will include a loan element.

To be eligible, social enterprises must have been in existence for at least 12 months.

Grants can be used for:

• Property or land purchase
• Some fees relating to capital projects including solicitors, architects and surveyors
• Property renovations and refurbishments
• Purchase of vehicles
• Equipment for delivery of services e.g. fixtures and fittings
• IT equipment.

The funding must be spent by 31 March 2012.

Individuals, sole traders, profit-making organisations, statutory organisations (such as schools or local authorities) and start-up organisations are not eligible to apply.
