A new £2 million Transition Lottery Fund is available through the British Film Institute (BFI). This one-off fund is to support audience development for specialised and British film. Organisations which have lost regular funding due to funding or budgetary cuts are eligible to apply.

Organisations can apply for up to 90% of their project costs, or 90% of their reduction in regular annual funding, whichever is the lower. The minimum grant amount is £1,000.

Grants can be used for audience development related costs in a range of areas including staff, facilities; publicity and marketing (e.g. programme production, website maintenance); screenings/events.
