SYFAB: BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Fund

BBC Children in Need have announced the creation of their Emergency Essentials Programme to deliver the charity's welfare grants for individual families.The programme will be administered by Buttle UK across three years and will give emergency grants for essential items for struggling families living in extreme deprivation throughout the UK. It will help them meet basic needs, for example ensuring that a child has a bed to sleep in and a hot meal a day. Applications must come through statutory or voluntary agency able to assess the needs of the young person, and administer the grant.
