SYFAB: ASDA Tech Trade-in
09 June 2011
ASDA has launched the ASDA Tech Trade-in website which offers cash of up to £250 for unused and unwanted electrical items. Initially the scheme is just for mobile phones, cameras, handheld gaming devices, MP3 players or sat navs. From June laptops, tablets and games consoles will also be included. The scheme encourages recycling of electrical equipment; some parts of the electrical items may be refurbished, resold or melted down to make other useful products. From the beginning of June, ASDA Tech Trade-in envelopes will also be available in ASDA store.
There is also a price promise, meaning if you can get more for your electrical item on other recycle websites ( either Envirofone, Mazuma, Sainsbury's, Tesco or Boots) then the ASDA Tech Trade-in website will pay the difference.
