The North East Community Assembly has the following grants available to community, voluntary or faith groups that have a project that aims to make a difference in the North East Community Assembly area (Firth Park, Burngreave, Southey and Shiregreen / Brightside Wards):• Small Grants/Funding for Festivals and Events - Third and Final Round
Small grants are targeted at small local voluntary, community and self-help groups that promote the wellbeing of people and communities at risk of social exclusion by providing activities in a group-based setting.
Groups applying for a community festival grant should be locally based and involve local people in their organisation. Groups should be located in and operate within the Community Assembly area. The maximum grant that you can apply for is £500 for a small neighbourhood festival. (Please note the criteria for festival funding has been amended slightly).

• Climate Change Fund
The Climate Change Fund was established in 2009 to fund community projects which aim to counter climate change. The North East Community Assembly has £20,000 to allocate in this financial year. More information will be provided on the North East Community Assembly website once the criteria and application forms have been agreed.
