South Community Assembly Small Grants support projects that aim to make a positive difference in the community. Grants of up to £1,000 are available to local voluntary, community, and self-help groups that support communities at risk of social exclusion by providing group based activities.


For this funding round, the South Community Assembly is particularly interested in projects that aim to improve people's health and wellbeing. Examples of possible project themes are:


• Healthy eating
• Local Food Growing
• Child Obesity
• Teenage Pregnancy
• Smoking cessation
• Drugs and alcohol
• Chronic ill health
• Anger management
• Mental health
• Diabetes
• Family support.
