Mini Mediabox

Mediabox provides disadvantaged 13 to 19 year olds with the opportunity develop and produce skills in the media sector. Ranging from television to radio and so on. Mediabox provides grants of £1000 to £5000 and is open to grassroots and community youth organisations with a turnover of £150,000 or under as well as schools.
Previous projects supported through Mini Mediabox include;
• Something Better - 'Little Horrors' which will give a group of young people from Newcastle the opportunity to create a film exploring their hopes and fears for the future;
• This is me - a film about how young people with Autism overcome the everyday challenges they face; and the Colour of Life - 'Word from the streets' which brought together young people from minority ethnic groups in Peckham to create a unique radio programme.
The next closing date for applications is the 12th July 2010.
