Doncaster West Development Trust (DWDT) has expanded the community in which it operates after improving its offering via Sector Solutions.

Funding (Big Lottery BASIS grant Minerva) secured with the help of Sector Solutions has enabled staff at DWDT to gain an NVQ Level 3 in Information Advice, and Guidance. The Trust is also on its way to achieving the Matrix standard.

Mike Page, Business Development and Funding Manager at DWDT states: "We've built on our skills since becoming involved with Sector Solutions and greater skills mean greater capacity. That's why we've been able to address more community issues, namely, helping people involved with substance misuse find employment."

DWDT aims to ensure a sustainable future within communities by developing social and economic regeneration projects.

Mike continues: "We've been able to make quite a difference to the services that we can offer since we became members of Sector Solutions. We used to suggest a course for people to go on, but now we can offer a whole package of initiatives that can help. These have resulted in increased confidence amongst our partners and not only that, feedback from the community has been really positive."
