Comic Relief has stated that it 'Grants UK Programmes' are now open for applications. Funding is now available for the following programs;

  • Mental Health - This programme is designed to promote the rights of people who have mental health problems. The programme also supports the recovery of people and helps them back into society.
  • Sexual and Domestic abuse - Programme designed to help young people (11 - 25) who have been subject or witness to domestic and sexual abuse.
  • Refugee and asylum seeking women - Supporting women who experienced rape, torture and other forms of violence in their own country.
  • Older people - This programme is built around the protection for elderly people to bring change to the community using their skills, energy and their time for people who need it most.
  • Sport for Change - changing individuals and communitys using sport.
  • Young people aged 11 - 25. - Focused programme souly designed for young people who are sexually exploited, suffer from mental health problems and alcohol abuse.

Also Comic Releif uses a programme to support disadvantaged communities. This programme is involved in the Community Foundation Network. Contact your community foundation directly for details of funding applications.

Grants between £25,000 and £40,000 are available to non-profit organisations like voluntary and community groups. The closing date for all applications is the 3rd of September 2010
