Autism Plus, a Sheffield-based charity which provides care and support for people with autism and related conditions, has saved a significant amount of money after training members of its staff on an internal auditing course, delivered through Sector Solutions, of which Autism Plus has been a Partner since 2002.

Jenni Sayer, Development Consultant at Autism Plus said: "The training we received with help from Sector Solutions was rolled out across the organisation and has really streamlined our operations. Time has been saved and paper work cut down, which has resulted in us making significant cost reductions."

Jenni attended a two day course after which she gained a QMS Internal Auditor qualification which equipped her with the skills and techniques to produce insightful and reliable audit reports. As an entry level course, it aims to be highly interactive and engaging so that learners can use auditing as a tool to continually improve their business.

"It has been hugely beneficial to us," continues Jenni, "I learnt the ins and outs of auditing and received hints and tips from really capable people. I was able to put together my own auditing program and adhere to a new, more efficient process. The training has proved to be really invaluable to me and Autism Plus."

In addition to the internal auditing course Autism Plus has also benefited from £16,000 worth of ESF (European Social Fund) funding delivered under Objective 1 to provide accredited and unaccredited training, mainly to people suffering from autism.
