Andrew qualified as a Civil Engineer and having immersed himself into the minutia of detail, formulae and calculus, he left the UK to ply his skills on the African continent.

Quickly realising that a prolonged life amongst the German preoccupation with precision and their inimitable interpretation of humour wasn’t for him, he returned to the UK in 1987 to pursue his many and varied business interests.

Through the recession hit years of the 90’s Andrew completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management, an MBA and qualified as a SIMA specialist, leading a wide range of companies through change management processes and reviving their flagging fortunes.

Andrew joined VC Train in January 2006, as Executive Director, and has led the organisation from grant to mainstream funding, achieved an ALI grade 1 inspection and has changed VC Train from its original format in sector development to a respected and effective VCS contracting organisation.
